Shampoo &

Conditioner Bars

Last year we started researching, formulating and testing shampoo and conditioner bars.  Wanting to do our part to reduce single use plastic waste and eliminate excess toxins from our daily hygiene routines, prompted all this experimentation.  We couldn't be haippier with the results.  We have received such great feed back on these products.  check out reviewes on our fcebook page.

Why Spoon & Spatula

Like most women, the holidays always present a challenge, in that, I struggle with what gift to get my husband.  I like to be creative and put a lot of thought into each gift.  Some years my gifts are practical and some years my gifts are just for fun or unique in another way.  In 2017, my husband began making melt and pour soaps and being the true crafter that I am, I decided to take his hobby to the next level.  So, I did some research into cold process soap making.  I made a list and began purchasing supplies.  By Christmas 2017, I had the necessary tools and supplies to make a batch of soap.  I put all the supplies in several boxes and completely surprised my husband with this unexpected gift.  We made our first batch of soap on New Years Day 2018.  After only one batch of soap, we were hooked.  We made batch after batch and soon were sending bars of soap to our family and friends.  It wasn't long until word spread and others were asking about buying our soaps.  We never intended to start a business, because we both have full time careers; however, soap was taking over every room in our house.  We knew if we wanted to keep making soap, we would have to do something, so, we decided on a name and moved forward.  I pondered over a name for our soap business for weeks.  Ultimately, I choose Spoon and Spatula because both are tools that are used in soap making.  I envisioned myself as the spoon.  Very curvy and always picking things up.  The spatula represents my husband; tall, strait and strong.  The rest is history.  We certainly hope you love our creations as much as we love making them.

"I am someone who hates my skin to feel dry and for the first time after using bar soap, I don't feel the need to lather my skin in lotion each time I wash my hands.  I would highly recommend this soap"
